300 è un film del 2007 diretto da Zack Snyder con il supporto di Frank Miller, adattamento cinematografico del graphic novel 300; quest'ultimo è stato a sua volta ispirato a un altro film, The 300 Spartans, un racconto semi-storico della battaglia delle Termopili svoltasi nel 480 a.C.

Il film è stato girato con la tecnica del chroma key per riprodurre le immagini dell'originale fumetto. È uscito nelle sale negli USA il 9 marzo 2007, mentre in Italia il 23 marzo 2007.

This replica, built with methodologies and principles very similar to those used in the Middle Ages, is aesthetically detailed and well finished like any display product but also absolutely functional, flexible and well balanced thanks to the production care and the carbon steel used tempered to a hardness 45/49 HRC.

Known by many names (war sword, great sword, broadsword, long sword or simply two-handed sword) it has long confused many collectors but has certainly carved out a place among the most popular weapons.Its length ensures power, resistance and helps to keep a reasonable distance from the opponent. Thanks also to the presence of the ricasso (part of the blade without a cutting edge placed after the guard) this weapon is even more flexible as if necessary it can also be held as a short spear.

Around 1450, the long sword, often called "one-and-a-half", was widely used in war, but it was also often a weapon of self-defense for civilians. Coupled to a dagger it was excellent against thieves, brigands and assassins, often organized into gangs that roamed the countryside.

Equipped with a good tip and adequate length, it allowed opponents to be kept at a distance. Its average weight allowed it to be used easily with one hand, in combination with the dagger in the other. Moreover, thanks to the length of the handle, it could be used with both hands to have greater control and perform very powerful cuts.
