Nino Morittu creates unique knives, pieces of rare artisanal beauty designed, drawn and finished personally. FRANCO VERNAZZA is a hobbyist knifemaker registered with A.C.H.I. (Associazione Coltellinai Hobbisti Italiani) and this creation of his is loosely inspired by Robert "Bob" Loveless' Bad Bob's Knife, his personal knife. Loveless' original was used during his time in Lawndale and is a unique piece of great historical importance. For that very reason it is so famous and published in tittie texts devoted to vintage custom cutlery.

History of the Model
The Model 7 was designed as a scaled-down version of the Model 3 Hunter.

Almost immediately, the idea of a scaled-down version of the new Hunter dawned on Bo Randall as an ideal knife for his fellow anglers. An avid fisherman since his youth, Bo regarded this new knife as a labor of love and immediately set to work on the project. At first he tried 4- and 4.5-inch blades, but then opted for the 4 1/2-inch one. Bo wanted the right handle for cleaning brook trout and similar sized fish, so he reduced the size of the handle of the new Hunter and changed its shape. Naturally, he called this model the "Fisherman," and some early prototypes with 4-inch blades were delivered to some dealers during the latter part of September 1945.

The Kudu Hunter fixed-blade knife offers an excellent balance between form and function: the wide drop point blade is reminiscent of its predecessor model Harpoon, but without the dedicated thumb rest. The handle is extremely comfortable for different types of grips, and its shape does not cause fatigue during long periods of use. The Kydex scabbard has a Kydex belt loop that allows you to switch between normal belt carry and scout carry, right or left handed, with ease. This is truly an excellent "all-around" design by Andre.

Takeshi Saji was born in 1948 in Takefu (Fukui prefecture), a city located roughly in the center of Japan and in the heart of an area for centuries devoted to the production of blades. His lab is still there, built around the oven thanks to which, for several years now, Takeshi Saji forge steel (especially damascus) with which he made various models of traditional Japanese knives. The choice of materials for finishing (mainly natural), the essential lines - evocative use - and the color combinations of rare impact his accomplishments make unique and unmistakable in view of the cutlery world and at home, have earned him the prestigious Master title.
