While working in some of the most dangerous areas of South America, Expat contacted ESEE seeking jungle survival training in extreme scenarios. Expat has traveled thousands of miles around the Third World, sometimes with the ESEE team, but always with ESEE products. From armored caravans in Colombia and expeditions to the Himalayas, to earthquakes in El Salvador and hunting in the Balkans, ESEE knives have been a constant companion. He has been a student, translator and instructor for Randall's Adventure Training. This Ka-Bar 1217, made in 1991, is a commemorative knife designed to mark the 50th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. This surprise attack, conducted by the Imperial Japanese Navy, aimed to destroy the U.S. Pacific Fleet and prevent a rapid response to Japanese expansion. The raid claimed the lives of about 2,400 people, including military personnel and civilians, and led the United States to enter World War II, declaring war on Japan the following day.

The VULPIS series was born out of the need to create a compact, versatile, multi-purpose knife with a modern design that perfectly matches historical products. The inspiration for the creation of this line starts from the DUCA, the name of the typical multi-purpose knife of the people of Maniago, a knife that originated in the second half of the 1800s in Maniago, when hunting knife sharpeners with different sized blades, ivory toothpicks and tweezers for removing thorns were made.

Gabriele Sammatrice/Sicilian Forge Custom Knives is a skilled craftsman who offers blades with character, strength and cutting edges of the highest level. He often uses A8 Modified tool steel: a very strong alloy steel. The most common use of this alloy is in striking blades. It has extreme toughness with good edge retention. The 8.5% chromium makes it almost stainless.

A8-mod is a modified version of AISI A8. It is a tool steel with a medium carbon content and alloyed with chromium, molybdenum and vanadium. This steel is an improvement on A8 steel, with good hardenability, toughness and dimensional stability to heat treatment.

Daughter of Zeus and Themis, Atropos was the oldest of the three goddesses of fate in Greek mythology and, by cutting the thread of life, decided the good and evil of every human being. Captivated by this fascinating unease, American knife designer Chuck Gedraitis breaks free from the clutches of fate with the Boker Plus Atropos and takes control of the threads once more.

The shape of the tactical knife is modeled on the legendary tactical knives of Rex Applegate and respects its DNA with every cut. Symmetry is one of its distinguishing features, which is reflected both in the single-edged VG-10 blade and the ergonomic light brown Micarta handle. Decorative elements such as the attractive ricasso on the spine of the blade, the discreet stonewash finish of the blade, the hinted guard element, or the elongated grooves in the handle scales are evidence of a well-thought-out tactical concept that has been implemented in the Atropos for EDC use.

Guy Poggetti, a knife designer from Marseille, France, is fascinated by art, technology, and craftsmanship, and incorporates this dedication into his designs, as in the case of the Boker Plus Sanjo. This pocket knife, named after the town in the Niigata Prefecture, was designed in a neo-Japanese style.

Equipped with a Tanto blade in VG10 with ball bearings, this men's knife tackles everyday cutting tasks with stoic efficiency. For a neat look, the flipper completely disappears between the stainless steel liners when open, reflecting the striking stonewash finish of the blade and forming the inner center of the liner with the sturdy liner lock for closing.
