DUE CIGNI - PERLAGE - SOMMELIER'S SABER IN STAINLESS STEEL MOD. 2C 2021S
Perlage Saber / The sommelier's saber
Guard surface finish and silver effect pommel.
Elegant and precious wooden box included! Sabrage is a particular technique for opening champagne bottles with a sabre, usually used as a ceremonial one.
The saber is slid along the body of the bottle towards the neck with a sharp blow. The force hitting the lip of the neck is sufficient to break the glass and cleanly separate the neck from the neck of the bottle which, together with the cork, is shot away by the force of the gas contained in the wine.
From the magic of the sabre, with its particular linearity and the refined design that embellishes the hilt, Perlage is a reference to the Napoleonic swords used by the Hussars, light cavalary of the Grande Armeè in Napoleon's service.
From here, the tradition draws on their habit, once they win, of sabering bottles of champagne and toasting life.
A gesture to cheer up a party and pleasantly surprise your guests.
