Katla, designed by Jesper Voxnaes, is a liner lock folding knife, featuring a Tanto profile blade with a bevel that enhances the excellent cutting qualities of the Böhler M390, hardened at 59/61 HRC.

The rotating mechanism is provided by thrust bearings, and it can be opened with either the double thumb stud or the very fast flipper.

The detail that characterizes the Katla is the 3D processing of the handle at both ends of the bolster, which reinterprets in a modern key, the inlays of the classic Viper models.

The Spartan-Ronin Shōtō is a folding karambit knife with a liner lock. This blade is the result of a collaborative effort between Spartan Blades and TU Lam of Ronin Tactics, our former Special Forces colleague and dear friend.

ABOUT THE STEEL

More than just a damask, Coreless steel made by Japanese Takefu Steel comes with over 70 layers of VG10 and VG2 stainless steel welded, forged and coated between them so that you can form a lightweight, slim and durable blade with a spectacular damask outer pattern.

The peculiarity of Coreless steel, unlike conventional rolled steel or Japanese San-Mai, is that it does not have a hard core steel that is used for the cutting edge but has both the VG10 and VG2 steels arranged to form the cutting edge so alternating and sequential to each other.

This particular construction gives the blade - compared to the two steels that make it, individually taken - greater resistance to oxidation, higher surface hardness (up to 61.5HRC), 25% more than cutting capacity, 25% more than the wire hold capacity and 25% more resilience making the blade more robust and less subject to breakage.

Thanks to this latest steel, Takefu Steel has been rewarded on Japanese territory for research and development and innovation in the cutting-edge landscape. The CRKT M16-14ZLEK Big Dog Law Enforcement knife is a Kit Carson design that is built for professional use. The black Zytel InterFrame handle has 420J2 stainless steel liners and CRKT's AutoLAWKS knife safety, which automatically actuates when the blade is open making it a virtual fixed blade. First responders will appreciate the integrated tungsten carbide window breaker and seat belt cutter. The pocket clip is 4-way reversible for every possible carry type, but not designed for tip-up in-pocket carry.

The Carson M16-14ZLEK features a black finished Tanto blade with a partially serrated cutting edge. The blade is easily opened with the dual thumb studs or a push of the Carson Flipper, which has an integrated seat belt cutter.
