The Amphibian is a true Marfione classic dating back over 20 years. It comes from a bygone era when Microtech knives could be both automatic and manual...in one. Here we have the manual version that incorporates Tony's RAM-LOK design with a reversible pocket clip and two thumb studs for a fully ambidextrous knife that sacrifices nothing in any way. The knife is similar to the MSI Microtech Standard in terms of size, but when it comes to style, there is no comparison. Microtech's Select-Fire is their 2011 offering in the D/A (Dual Action) market. While there are numerous Dual Action offerings among manufacturers, this design won the Most Innovative award at the 2011 Blade Show. This model features a button for automatic deployment of the side opening blade, a large liner lock, oversized thumb stud for manual deployement, index choil for higher grip allowing precision cutting, anti-slip thumb grooves, and a pocket clip. Microtech's Select-Fire comes with a tool to lock the knife's automatic capability rendering it a manual only operating knife.
