Surface finish black effect guard and pommel. Elegant and valuable wooden case included! -Sabrage is a special technique of opening champagne bottles with a saber, usually used ceremonially. 

The force hitting the lip of the neck is enough to break the glass and cleanly separate the neck from the bottle collar, which, along with the cork, is shot away by the force of the gas contained in the wine. -From the magic of the saber, with its particular linearity and refined design embellishing the hilt, Perlage is a reference to the Napoleonic swords used by the Hussars, light cavalry of the Grande Armeè in the service of Napoleon.

From here, the tradition draws on their custom, upon victory achieved, of sabering bottles of champagne and toasting to life.

Here-I grew up in an area where coyotes yelp and howl at night. Their call is a bit eerie, perhaps frightening, but they are like those barking puppies: much ado about nothing. So when Igor Bortolussi of MKM asked me to design a knife, I started to design a knife that was a yipper: sharp teeth, but compassed appearance.
