The locking mechanism on opening is particularly strong as it is assisted by a safety system that turns it into a true fixed blade. The primary safety on the blade is activated by raising and lowering the locking pin. The Opinel N°10 with Corkscrew and Cap Lifter is a special variant of the famous Opinel N°10 knife, featuring a versatile blade and a beech wood handle. This additional version is designed to offer extra functionality.

This beautiful project combines the tradition of a successful knife, patented and built in Italy, with the history and qualitative excellence of Japanese steel, made with a production process that dates back to that used for the famous Japanese swords.

The thickness of the blade goes from 2 mm of the standard models to 2.5 mm of this exclusive series, in order to make the knife more robust and performing.

To make the knife even more exclusive, for each of the three sizes offered, 60 exclusive pieces have been created, with progressive numbering engraved on the blade

The elegant Boker Plus Zenshin is reminiscent of the famous Higonokami pocket knives, manufactured in the Japanese city of Miki since 1896. The knife n. 08 Ellipse was imagined in the Opinel cabinet-making workshop: raw and opaque ebony is sublimated by an aluminum sheet that highlights and illuminates the sinuous curves of the handle. Limited edition of 4000 numbered copies on the blade and accompanied by an oak wood box and black velvet pouch

Maintenance tips: the handle leaves the factory lightly oiled and it is advisable to feed it with a cloth lightly moistened with cooking oil to revive its intensity over time.

The handles are made of antique walnut and oiled wood, while the blade made of stainless steel is sharpened and picked up by hand on the stone by skilled artisan hands.
Being a model without a return spring, the fixing of the blade to the handle is ensured by a solid brass safety ring with a special locking device (covered by patent n.1187282 deposited again in 1985 by the Todesco company of Maniago which is an active partner of this project) that can be activated both in the open position and in the closed position.
