Founded in 15 BC during the reign of Emperor Augustus, Augusta competed with other German cities for the title of the oldest city in Germany. The old part of the historic center is considered the third largest in Germany, after Hamburg and Cologne.

The Helmschmied of Augsburg, Germany, were one of the most important late medieval European families of armorari / gunsmiths. This armor is reconstructed on a model of the sixteenth century, manufactured by this illustrious foundry. Although it is made not to be worn, it retains all the aesthetic beauty and characteristics of full armor.

Handcrafted from 18 gauge mild steel and crafted by the artisans at Windlass Steelcrafts, this armor comes with a museum quality heavy wood pedestal base, decorative waist skirt, and wooden inner shape.

The helmet can accept up to three decorative plumes (sold separately).
