Because the kettle has to heat a large amount of water in a short time, a sufficiently large bottom made of high-quality material is essential. ZWILLING JA Henckels designers have therefore equipped it with the SIGMA Classic sandwich bottom, prized for its energy-saving cooking capability, thanks to which energy input can be reduced once the pot is heated, thus protecting the environment.

The bottom of the SIGMA Classic is composed of three layers. The 18/10 stainless steel inner layer ensures easy maintenance, is hygienic, scratch-resistant, and does not absorb tastes or odors. The strong aluminum core stores heat, then distributes it quickly and evenly. A third layer of the highest quality magnetic chrome-plated steel allows the kettle to be used for induction and is also easy to maintain. The kettle is dishwasher safe .
