The VULPIS series was born out of the need to create a compact, versatile, multi-purpose knife with a modern design that perfectly matches historical products. The inspiration for the creation of this line starts from the DUCA, the name of the typical multi-purpose knife of the people of Maniago, a knife that originated in the second half of the 1800s in Maniago, when hunting knife sharpeners with different sized blades, ivory toothpicks and tweezers for removing thorns were made.

These knives were presented at the 1888 National Exposition in Turin by the Bet Giovanni company, which won a gold medal for the quality of its products. So it was that, most likely, Luigi Amedeo di Savoia, Duke of the Abruzzi, decided to visit one of the company's two stores in Turin, where he saw and ordered the four-bladed multi-purpose knife, which he chose as part of the equipment for the North Pole expedition he commanded in 1899.

The characteristic teardrop shape of the folding knife dates back to the 17th century, making it one of the oldest designs of all time. Daughter of Zeus and Themis, Atropos was the oldest of the three goddesses of fate in Greek mythology and, by cutting the thread of life, decided the good and evil of every human being. Captivated by this fascinating unease, American knife designer Chuck Gedraitis breaks free from the clutches of fate with the Boker Plus Atropos and takes control of the threads once more.

The shape of the tactical knife is modeled on the legendary tactical knives of Rex Applegate and respects its DNA with every cut. Symmetry is one of its distinguishing features, which is reflected both in the single-edged VG-10 blade and the ergonomic light brown Micarta handle. Adiscreetly integrated framelock locks the ball-bearingclip point blade made from 100-layer Damascus, which Chad Nichols has forged by hand in the breathtaking Black Boomerang pattern. The discreet flipper and the flat, milled titanium clip (tip-up/r) contribute to the elegant appearance, while the Boker tree decoratively adorns the blade's axle screw on the front.
