This is the knife that represented lionSTEEL at the Atlanta 2024 Blade Show in the Manufacturing Quality Award competition; it was a challenging project to make. It is a button-lock knife that has both integral frame and handle (a “SOLID® squared”). The parts need to be milled with high precision so that they fit together perfectly ensuring both quality of operation and final aesthetics.

It features a satin-finished CPM MagnaCut steel blade, the frame is made of titanium while the handle is made of carbon fiber, Canvas or G10.

Being manufacturers and having innovation and improvement of quality standard as our goals, receiving the “Manufacturing Quality Award” with this closer was a great honor.

A state-of-the-art steel such as MagnaCut was chosen for the blade: a high-strength steel known for its hardness and edge retention capacity. Thanks to these properties, the blade is able to tackle a variety of tasks without any problems. 

The handle has an ergonomic and comfortable grip. The 3D finish gives the handle a unique look and provides a secure grip during use. The handle is precisely designed to fit the shape of the hand, ensuring optimal control of the knife.

SureTouch is a revolutionary new patent-pending process that combines layers of G-10 with rubber. Now you can have the strength and durability of G-10 with the grip and non-slip properties of rubber, all in one material. 

The combination of G-10 and rubber offers one of the most revolutionary advantages on the market. Because G10 is commonly processed for the knife and gun industry, this new material allows for greater ease of use. SureTouch allows for improved grip and comfort.

Thanks to its structure, RAO C is a tool that despite its small size, manages to guarantee the same qualities of robustness and reliability as its big brother while offering better portability and manageability.

The locking mechanism on opening is particularly strong as it is assisted by a safety system that turns it into a true fixed blade. The primary safety on the blade is activated by raising and lowering the locking pin. To provide the user with maximum safety in use, a practical and quick secondary safety has been applied, which can be activated simply by moving the locking pin horizontally.

For the purpose of lightening the steel frames, a template was laser-cut from the profile of the RAO C, which was then used to make a gadget that is delivered with the knife.
