La storia aziendale di ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS inizia il 13 giugno 1731 sotto il segno dei gemelli. Allora, Peter Henckels registrò il marchio dei gemelli, oggi conosciuto in tutto il mondo, nel ruolo dei fabbricanti di coltelli di Solingen. ZWILLING è perciò uno dei marchi più antichi al mondo.
Dalla lavorazione manuale di precisione, all´impiego delle moderne tecnologie. Da esportatore tedesco, ad azienda operante a livello internazionale.
Per tradizione ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS impiega esclusivamente uno speciale acciaio prodotto secondo una propria formulazione, la cosiddetta colata speciale. Questo acciaio viene poi affinato con un trattamento criostatico. Il risultato è un coltello che si distingue per elevata durezza, flessibilità e eccellente resistenza alla corrosione.
