When we looked for colors to refresh our Mini Bugout® line of knives, we discovered a shade that embodied a type of outdoor vibe that lasts for only a few moments.

The Amphibian is a true Marfione classic dating back over 20 years. It comes from a bygone era when Microtech knives could be both automatic and manual--in one. The inspiration behind the KEY-BAR was the annoyance of the noise and disorganization of the many keys that creator Michael Taylor carries daily. In his workshop one weekend he decided to do something about his problem. After many hours of research, trial and error and several prototypes later, he arrived at the current version of the KEY-BAR.
