The Arbiter concept was originally sketched out by Adam Marfione in 2012. Microtech is excited to bring this piece into production as Adam begins to become an integral part of the team. Previously available only as a custom knife, the Arbiter features a 9" bowie-style clip point blade with an elegant curved primary cutting edge that flows into a raised tip with devastating penetrating power. W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company was created at the beginning of the century, at a time when pocket knives were as indispensable as a watch. Over the years the company has established itself as a leading company in the market launch of new materials and innovative designs.

The company's roots date back to 1889, when enterprising brothers, William Russell (W.R.), Jean, John and Andrew, in the Case family began selling craft knives from the back of a van in northern New York. In January 1900, the brothers formed the Case Brothers Cutlery Company, thus founding the first family brand Case.

J.R. Case, which he called the company with the name of his father, W.R., formed the W.R. Case & Sons in the form in which it is known today. When the company moved to Bradford, Pennsylvania in 1905, the four Case brothers had made their family brands the most respectable names in cutlery in America.

At the beginning of World War I, the government appealed to the Case for the production of military knives for American fighters. During the flight of the "Molly Brown" in 1965, astronauts Gus Grissom and John Young used special Case knives in the NASA space mission. In aiuto di chi non si fosse ancora ben organizzato arriva un'azienda di Seattle: il team di Host Freeze Cooling ha infatti creato questi ingegnosi bicchieri da birra che raffreddano automaticamente anche il liquido più caldo. Il vetro è circondato da un gel che si raffredda se i bicchieri vengono riposti in frigorifero. In questo modo si assicura alla birra o al succo di frutta o alla bibita la giusta temperatura per una perfetta degustazione, soprattutto nelle stagioni più calde. TWIST

Host Twist è l’unico aeratore regolabile che ti permette di scegliere la quantità di ossigeno più adatta alla tua bottiglia.

Puoi aerare istantaneamente il tuo vino e decidere che ossigenazione applicare: da 1 a 6 ore! Host ha effettuato studi scientifici per definire la quantità di ossigeno che si unisce al vino nei decanter tradizionali e l’ha confrontata con quella che il Twist ottiene in pochi secondi in maniera assolutamente naturale.

COME USARE IL TWIST

Muovi in senso anti-orario la parte superiore del Twist e regola la quantità di ossigeno che esalta meglio il tuo vino. Il numero 1 corrisponde ad 1 ora di aerazione, il numero 2 a 2 ore e così via, fino a sei ore, in pochi istanti! Tieni il Twist sopra il bicchiere che vuoi riempire, versaci dentro il vino e goditelo con chi vuoi. OSSIGENA NEL MODO GIUSTO La corretta aerazione del vino ammorbidisce i tannini e permette l’esaltazione degli aromi. Ogni vino ha bisogno della corretta quantità di ossigeno per poter esprimere al meglio il suo potenziale. In generale, vale la regola per cui un vino da invecchiamento ancora giovane ha bisogno di un’ossigenazione maggiore per poter sprigionare al meglio tutti gli aromi; un vino già invecchiato, invece, deve essere ossigenato più delicatamente affinché conservi le note fruttate residue e il vigore che ha resistito al processo di invecchiamento.
