W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company was created at the beginning of the century, at a time when pocket knives were as indispensable as a watch. Over the years the company has established itself as a leading company in the market launch of new materials and innovative designs.

The company's roots date back to 1889, when enterprising brothers, William Russell (W.R.), Jean, John and Andrew, in the Case family began selling craft knives from the back of a van in northern New York. In January 1900, the brothers formed the Case Brothers Cutlery Company, thus founding the first family brand Case.

J.R. Case, which he called the company with the name of his father, W.R., formed the W.R. Case & Sons in the form in which it is known today. When the company moved to Bradford, Pennsylvania in 1905, the four Case brothers had made their family brands the most respectable names in cutlery in America.

At the beginning of World War I, the government appealed to the Case for the production of military knives for American fighters. During the flight of the "Molly Brown" in 1965, astronauts Gus Grissom and John Young used special Case knives in the NASA space mission. Case has garnered famous and avid collectors like former US President Dwight D. Eisenhower and country music star Randy Travis.

From KA-BAR regarding the special engraved logo: The engraved logo features the historical "The Union" logo from the early 1900s, a bear, and the years marking 120 years - 1898 and 2018.
The significance of the bear is in the KA-BAR name itself. An Alaskan hunter was attacked by a Kodiak bear, but successfully defended himself using his Union Cutlery knife. The hunter was so thankful that he sent a letter describing the ordeal with "K a Bar" (Kill a Bear) as well as sending in the bear fur. The officers of Union Cutlery decided to adopt KA-BAR as a trademark in 1924.

THE BRAND PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy behind the Key-Bar is simple and the result of a necessity: carry your keys daily in your pocket without them making noise and moving anywhere creating discomfort.

Then enter the stage of the creativity and inventiveness of Michael Taylor who, after many hours of research and prototyping in his small workshop in Savannah, USA, invented Key-Bar. A small rigid keychain, configurable at will, which allows the keys to always be in order, not to emit noise during transport and to be easily anchored inside your pocket or attached to the belt.

The development of Key-Bar is only just beginning, but its potential is enormous. In fact, it is possible to separately purchase additional accessories to be inserted together with the keys that allow you to create a small multi-purpose tool ready for any eventuality every day!


No special tools are required to assemble and configure your Key-Bar; all the handles are made of solid material and CNC workbenches and then finished by hand.

Each Key-Bar is made of non-ferrous materials, while the screws are made of stainless steel, in order to guarantee maximum hygiene and extremely easy cleaning and maintenance.
