Reproduction of the Italian Renaissance dagger potentially worn on the belt by Lorenzo de 'Medici. Said Lorenzo the Magnificent (Florence, 1 January 1449 - Careggi, 8 April 1492), he was lord of Florence from 1469 to his death, the third of the Medici dynasty. He was also a writer, patron, poet and humanist, as well as one of the most significant politicians of the Renaissance, both for having incarnated the ideal of the humanist prince, and for the very careful management of power.

Although iron was a tougher material than bronze it would frequently bend. Damascus, or pattern welded steel, was used to make the blade strong enough to withstand the rigors of combat. Early Viking swords were forged from layers of iron interwoven with strands of steel to produce a very tough sword. This sword is based on an original circa 850-900 AD sword discovered in Finland. The Damascus Viking Sword is made of high carbon Damascus steel. The blade is polished with the fuller acid etched to bring out the beautiful Damascus pattern. Preparation:

Mussels are a tasty seafood that can be cooked in a variety of ways: steamed, in boiling water, grilled, baked, etc. They are great eaten alone, perhaps accompanied by chips or toast, or incorporated into a fish dish.
