PRODUCTS FOR COCKTAILS HOST
The love for innovative design applied to the world of wine is Host's guiding star. The result is a line of products that are as beautiful as they are functional. The shapes and lines of the objects are designed to combine the pleasure of beauty with the comfort of the useful; the packaging is fresh and cared for in every detail; the spirit is attentive and sensitive to the enhancement of the qualities of wine. We know that serving wine at the wrong temperature is one of the most common mistakes made with fine wines. Or, again, it is often thought that red wine should be enjoyed at room temperature: one of the trends of summer 2013, however, was Chianti served chilled.
Have you ever wanted a warm beer in winter or a chilled red wine in summer? No, everything needs to be at the right temperature.
Host Freeze is just that: keep it in the freezer and when you feel like having a drink, it will be ready.
Just pour and enjoy the well-deserved refreshment! The Freeze margarita glass is ideal for enjoying your favourite cocktail: kept in the freezer for at least two hours, it keeps it at a temperature of between 6°C and 11°C; if you keep it in the fridge it will keep it between 14°C and 16°C. For those who haven't got their act together yet, a Seattle-based company has come to the rescue: the Host Freeze Cooling team has created these ingenious wine glasses that automatically cool even the hottest liquid. The glass is surrounded by a gel which cools down if the glasses are placed back in the fridge. This ensures that the cocktail is at the right temperature for perfect enjoyment, especially in the warmer seasons.
An original idea that can prove to be very valuable in case of last minute dinners, or for the eternally careless who forget to refrigerate bottles of fine wine in time.

Antonini knives - Old Bear knife in SanMai VG10 a 67 layers - 23cm - multilayer black - Limited Edition
Antonini artisans from Maniago have created an exclusive and limited series of OLD BEAR knives using the famous Japanese SANMAI steel in VG10 with 67 layers. This beautiful project combines the tradition of a successful knife, patented and built in Italy, with the history and qualitative excellence of Japanese steel, made with a production process that dates back to that used for the famous Japanese swords.
The thickness of the blade goes from 2 mm of the standard models to 2.5 mm of this exclusive series, in order to make the knife more robust and performing.
To make the knife even more exclusive, for each of the three sizes offered, 60 exclusive pieces have been created, with progressive numbering engraved on the blade
Type of production: semi-artisanal
Production Lama: Italy
Blade: San Mai 67 VG10 damask stainless steel (60/61 HRC)
Handle: in plywood with satin brass ring with nickel plating
Blade length: 100mm.
Blade thickness: 2.5mm.
Closed length: 127mm.
Thick when closed: 22mm.
Total length: 225mm.
Weight: 68g.
Closure: viro blockThe handles are made of Italian olive wood. Being a model without return spring, the fixing of the blade to the handle is ensured by a solid safety ring in nickel plated brass equipped with a special locking device (covered by patent n. active partner of this project) which can be activated both in the open and in the closed position.
As early as 1100, expert Japanese blacksmiths combined different materials together to give Katana swords cutting, strength and flexibility previously unknown. Inspired by this tradition, Berkel has created a series of Japanese SanMai steel knives.
The blade consists of a core layer of extremely hard VG-10 steel, which keeps it sharp for a long time, and two outer plates made of 33-layer damask stainless steel per side, for greater resistance to corrosion and torsion.
Characteristics of SanMai steel: These are different types of metals bonded together to create a composite that encloses and intensifies the strengths of the metals individually taken:
- Longer life of the cutting edge
thanks to the use of very high quality steels with high carbon content (VG10, CoS, Shiro) or sintered (SPG2), in the heart of the sheet (Core Steel), the blade, once hardened, achieves decidedly hardness and cutting performance higher than those achieved with the use of traditional steels.- Greater resilience
built with the principle of Japanese swords, multilayer steel is difficult to break thanks to the toughness of the central steel (Core Steel) and the elasticity of the steel used for the side facing (Stainless Steel).- Better corrosion resistance
the steel used for the external layers (Stainless Steel) guarantees the blade a high resistance to corrosion. The combination of the two or more materials used by Takefu Steel generates, at the galvanic level, a structure that improves the corrosion resistance even on the wire.- Easy processing even after heat treatment
although steel normally becomes harder after hardening, the lateral steel used in multilayer processing does not lose its softness and allows easy processing, drilling or welding even after heat treatment. For an optimal performance of the blade, cryogenic treatment is recommended.- Improvement of the aesthetic result
The knives made with multi-state steel or damascus pattern at the end of the processing are aesthetically elegant, refined and highly appreciated by collectors all over the world. For more information: Collini Steel

Type of production: semi artisanal
Production Lama: Italy
Blade: San Mai 67 VG10 damask stainless steel (60/61 HRC)
Handle: in walnut wood
Blade length: 80mm.
Blade thickness: 2.5mm.
Closed length: 109mm.
Thick when closed: 22mm.
Total length: 190mm.
Weight: 46g.
Closure: viro blockThe handles are made of antique and oiled walnut wood. Being a model without return spring, the fixing of the blade to the handle is ensured by a solid brass safety ring equipped with a special locking device (covered by patent n.1187282 filed again in 1985 by the Todesco company of Maniago which is an active partner of this project) which can be activated both in the open position and in the closed position.
The knives made with multi-state steel or with a damascus pattern at the end of the processing are aesthetically elegant, refined and highly appreciated by collectors all over the world. For more information: Collini Steel

Drop Stop - Drip saver - PROVERBS - 4-pack - cm. 7,5
Drop stop
DropStop® is a patented and registered trademark. DropStop® is an invention by Danish inventor Brian Vang Jensen, who came up with the idea after being involved in an embarrassing situation at a dinner party a few years ago.
How do you explain its success?
Essentially for three reasons:
- Its excellent design
- Its ease of use
- Its proven effectiveness in solving a known problem
- DropStop® encompasses all these features. Aesthetically appealing, easy to use and extremely functional, DropStop® has become a worldwide success and is used in millions of wine bottles in over 40 countries. DropStop® adapts to every type of bottle. DropStop® is a unique invention that is indispensable for all wine lovers. Drop Stop® is made of aluminium coated with food-grade PVC and therefore does not alter the taste of the wine.
- The new dropstop contains various packages with 4 different sayings:
- Wine is the poetry of the earth,
- Water divides men, wine unites them.
- Life is too short to spill great wine .
- Congrats.
- The simplicity of DropStop® solves one of the most annoying inconveniences of pouring wine. By rolling up the disc and inserting it into the neck of the bottle, the thin DropStop® thread cuts the drop perfectly, so as not to soil the tablecloth. DropStop® is made of multilayer laminate (PET and aluminium) and is fully suitable for food contact. The easy-care material allows for easy and frequent cleaning under running water and can be used without restriction for years.

HOST WINE PRODUCTS
A love of innovative design applied to the world of wine is Host's guiding star. The result is a line of products that are as beautiful as they are functional. The shapes and lines of the objects are designed to combine the pleasure of the beautiful with the comfort of the useful; the packging is fresh and attention to detail; the spirit is attentive and sensitive to enhancing the qualities of wine. We know that serving wine at the wrong temperature is one of the most common mistakes made with fine wines. Or, again, it is often thought that red wine should be enjoyed at room temperature-one of the trends of summer 2013, however, was Chianti served chilled.
Have you ever wished for a warm beer in winter or an ice-cold red in summer? No, everything needs to be at the right temperature.
Host Freeze is for just that: keep it in the freezer, and when you feel like having a drink, he'll be ready.
Just pour and enjoy the well-deserved refreshment! The Freeze wine glass is ideal for enjoying both white and red: kept in the freezer for at least two hours, it keeps the wine at a temperature between 6°C and 11°C;
if you keep it in the refrigerator, on the other hand, it keeps it between 14°C and 16°C.
To the aid of those who have not yet gotten their act together comes a Seattle company: the Host Freeze Cooling team has created these ingenious wine glasses that automatically chill even the hottest liquid. The glass is surrounded by a gel that cools if the glasses are placed back in the refrigerator. This ensures that the wine has the right temperature for perfect tasting, especially in warmer seasons.

TWIST Host Mini Tilt is the perfect solution for aerating your wine wherever you are. At home, with friends and even on the road! Tilt, oxygenate and store!
HOW TO USE THE MINI TILT -Apply the Mini Tilt to your bottle, pour and ... close the cork! -As well as aerating the wine, you can preserve it with a minimum of effort and preserve all its qualities. Like the Tilt, the Mini Tilt allows you to choose the oxygenation best suited to your wine: the more you tilt, the more you oxygenate.
Weak inclination (0-45°) = light aeration Moderate inclination (30-60°) = normal aeration Strong inclination (45-90°) = strong aeration
OXYGENATES IN THE RIGHT WAY
Correct aeration of wine softens tannins and allows aromas to be enhanced. Every wine needs the correct amount of oxygen to express its full potential. Generally speaking, the rule applies that an ageing wine that is still young needs more oxygenation in order to be able to release all its aromas to the full; an aged wine, on the other hand, needs to be oxygenated more gently so that it retains the residual fruity notes and vigour that it has endured during the ageing process.

TWIST Host Tilt The more you tilt, the more you oxygenate. -With Tilt you can aerate your wine glass instantly.
Thanks to Bernoulli's principle, you regulate the oxygenation according to the tilt at which you pour: weak tilt (0-45°) = light aeration moderate tilt (30-60°) = normal aeration strong tilt (45-90°) = strong aeration
HOW TO USE THE TILT
Apply the Tilt to the neck of your bottle and pour by adjusting the tilt according to how much you want to oxygenate your wine. Once poured, remove the Tilt and sip in relaxation.

Imperia - Gun biscuit maker
Cookies the new a cookie gun from Imperia has arrived. The product is completely made of steel, easy to use and very handy. With Imperia "Cookies" you can make cookies of many different shapes and not only that; in fact, in addition to the 14 disks/shapes it also comes with 4 nozzles that allow you to decorate cakes and fill them.
It can be said that with natural ingredients and imagination many cookies can be invented. Like all Imperia brand products, it is 100 percent made in Italy.
The kit consists of:
- 14 molds: Christmas tree, heart, butterfly, shamrock, helm, donut, snowdrop, petal, snowflake, primrose, daisy, sun, millerighe, smile.
- 4 spouts: filler, star, rectangle, crescent.
The long history of the cookie
It seems that the origin of cookies can be traced to Persia, as far back as the 7th century BC. Some historians assert instead that the first cookie was baked in ancient Rome. The earliest traces date back to texts attributable to Apicius, a Roman gourmet who lived in the 1st century AD, during the time of Tiberius.
The Middle Ages is the period in which there is the most evidence of products very similar to our cookies, including pan pepato, hard, crisp cookies, and the forerunners of the meringue. The cookie, as we know it today, is a French invention: in fact, in 14th-century Paris it was possible to buy tasty little wafers filled with fruit.
The word cookie comes from the Latin "biscoctus panis," bread baked twice, which becomes "biscuit" in English. In contrast, the term "cookie" has Dutch origins: in fact, it comes from the word "koekje," small or round cake, like the small pieces of dough that Dutch bakers used in their ovens to test the temperature. The first cookies also composed of butter and sugar entered the culinary scene in the 18th century. So many cookie recipes are found in the 19th century, when the availability of sugar, flour, and yeast became more continuous.
For example, the classic Cookie, or chocolate chip cookie was invented only in 1937 in Whitman, Massachusetts, USA. In Italy, for example, Savoiardi biscuits take their name from Savoy, part of the Savoy kingdom, and date back to the late 15th century, when they were created at the court of the Dukes of Savoy in honor of a visit by the King of France. The chocolate-coated cookie, on the other hand, only became popular after World War II.
