The most important members of the family were Lorenz Helmschmied (active in 1467, died in 1515), Kolman Helmschmied (1471-1532) and Desiderio Helmschmied (1513-1579)

This armor is reconstructed on a model of the sixteenth century, manufactured by this illustrious foundry. Although it is made not to be worn, it retains all the aesthetic beauty and characteristics of full armor.

Handcrafted from 18 gauge mild steel and crafted by the artisans at Windlass Steelcrafts, this armor comes with a museum quality heavy wood pedestal base, decorative waist skirt, and wooden inner shape.
