The Amphibian is a true Marfione classic dating back over 20 years. It comes from a bygone era when Microtech knives could be both automatic and manual--in one. Here we have the manual version that incorporates Tony's RAM-LOK design with a reversible pocket clip and two thumb studs for a fully ambidextrous knife that sacrifices nothing in any way. It features Bohler's proprietary M390MK steel, available only from Microtech Knives. forged from stainless steel incandescent bars 

hot coining 

shearing of the profile and the interior 

roughing and bending

tempera.

The normal finishing operations (mirroring, working of the handle) are added to the aforementioned phases. The knife blades are sharp as they are sharpened by hand.

tempering.

In addition to the above steps are the normal finishing operations ( mirroring, handle machining). Knife blades are sharp as they are hand sharpened.

The handle is made of buffalo horn.
